The most carefully constructed brand identities are ineffective if they’re not deployed properly. Guidelines are vital – particularly to large organisations where too many cooks can spoil the broth. Brand guides have to be written well.
I’ve written several – for Directgov, the Greenwich Peninsula development, airline booking site Cheapflights and internet service provider The Cloud, as well for a volunteer organisation that I’m involved with.
